Event : MEETING THE PROs @ Delhi, India

On 19-20 December 2009, Canon India Ptd Ltd (CIPL) organized a meeting cum workshop catering exclusively for the Pros within the Delhi region. This event was supported by Canon Singapore Ptd Ltd (CSPL). The participants included pro photographers, senior photographers, photo editors from the Media, HOD from local respective Press and organization in this region. I was delighted to be invited by CSPL to conduct an EOS workshop for this event working hand-in-hand with Roland Poon, the Senior Manager of CSPL.
The workshop covers three main topics. On 19 Dec, I shared the basic settings of EOS and my EOS experience in photography with participants followed by the advanced level and practical usage on the custom functions for EOS system. On the 20 Dec, participants get to learn about Flash Photography, how to master their flash system and how to works with the custom functions to achieve the desirable result in flash photography. This area is one of the most critical challenges that would puzzle most photographers especially those in the Media & Press. Further, the participants get to practice the knowledge learned during the indoor session on the first day and the outdoor practical training. With the guidance of the facilitators, it was a good opportunity for them to get a closer exposure on the usage of the EOS system. All the participants received hands-on experience on the latest EOS technology as featured on the EOS 7D. They were very impressed by my sharing on the sample shots which I have done with the EOS 7D.
What an unforgettable experience in India! I have never had this kind of fun experience with workshop’s participants in my career. I was lifted up by Mr Bandeep Sigh, Photo Editor of India Today to have a group photo. Generally, all the participants have a fun time learning at the workshop and are looking forward for future workshops.
